Igloo Trailmate
“Sand Schmand”
It’s not everyday that you get to name an iconic product and then launch it, but that’s just what we got to do at my own agency Actual. This cooler was a game changer, specifically designed for the beach and ready to take its place in the pantheon of Igloo classics. As such, it was a pretty simple leap from the iconic “Playmate” to the “Trailmate”. We built out an identity and messaging system, now we were tasked with the responsibility of leading marketing for the launch effort.
For the launch we decided to keep it simple - show the stand-apart benefits of the product and get out of the way.

To further demonstrate the benefits of the product we sent street teams to beach festivals on both coasts and delivered much needed refreshment to the sweltering masses.
The Trailmate was well received by both the press and consumers alike, exceeding expectations and bringing new energy to the Igloo brand.
